UNIDENTIFIED gunmen have slain three people in Awka, Anambra State.

Two people were slain opposite the first market in Ifite, and one person was killed behind Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital in Amaku, all in the Awka South local government area.

Both instances occurred between 4.15 and 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to eyewitness accounts.
