African Games Update: Four Nigerian Boxers Set To Fight In Ghana

The boxing event of the 13th African Games begin this Friday in Accra, Ghana with four Nigerian pugllists expected to take to the squared ropes later this evening, reports Prime Business Africa.

There are 27 bouts on the card on the opening day and four of them involve the Nigerians.

The Nigerian boxing contingent to the African Games travelled to Accra on Wednesday night as their travelling arrangement could not be finalized earlier.

The first Nigerian boxer at the Games to take to the ring is Nene Ojo who will fight in the women’s 57kg. She will take on Uganda’s Ndagire Sharua.

Another Nigerian, Dolapo Omole will take on Egypt’s Amir Kelany in the Men’s 57kg preliminaries.

Also, Aremu Ibrahim in the 71 kg bout will take on Ethiopia’s Daniel Abenisem while Alaore Adams in the 92kg will fight against Abuti Alwanga of Kenya.
