Kirby emphasized the dire situation on the ground, citing Ukraine’s dwindling ammunition reserves as a significant obstacle in repelling Russian advances.

He lamented the delayed assistance from Congress, stressing the urgent need for artillery shells to disrupt Russian assaults.

The approval of foreign aid package by the US Senate, including significant support for Ukraine, offers a glimmer of hope.

However, the package’s fate hangs in the balance as it awaits approval from the House of Representatives.

NATO Secretary General Jen Stoltenberg echoed concerns over the consequences of delayed military assistance, warning of its tangible impact on the battlefield.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a video address, pledged to prioritize saving Ukrainian lives amidst escalating hostilities.

His upcoming visits to Berlin and Paris underscore efforts to bolster security alliances and garner support from key European allies.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to grapple with the relentless onslaught, with General Oleksandr Tarnavsky acknowledging the intense battles raging within Avdiivka. Despite facing adversity, Ukrainian troops remain steadfast, valuing the preservation of every inch of Ukrainian territory and the lives of their comrades.

Ukrainian soldiers, confronting severe shortages of essential supplies, including artillery ammunition, express their frustration and concern for their fellow fighters. With limited resources at their disposal, they confront the harsh reality of an imminent threat.

In response to escalating tensions, Ukraine deploys elite brigades and reinforces artillery positions in Avdiivka. However, unverified reports suggest key defensive positions may have already fallen into Russian hands, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

As the fate of Avdiivka hangs in the balance, Ukraine braces for further escalation, determined to defend its sovereignty against Russian aggression.
