Ademola Lookman scored the only goal of the game from a Moses Simon assist in the 41st minute while Victor Osimhen saw a supposed second half goal ruled out by VAR for offside.

The Angolans were close to grabbing the first goal of the game but Stanley Nwabali got down to the ground to punch away a header from captain Freddy.

That industry by the Palancras Negras almost paid in the second half as half time substitute, Zini ghosted past the central defensive duo of Semi Ajayi and William Troost Ekong from a through ball but his low shot which had beaten Nwabali cannoned off the post before Ekong cleared emphatically.

Osimhen’s goal from a textbook header was pushed inside the Angolan goal by goalkeeper Antonio Signori bit the VAR check picked the SS Napoli striker as being in an offside position.
