In a bid to spread joy and goodwill this festive season, Airtel Nigeria has announced plans to elevate its annual community feeding initiative, ‘5 Days of Love,’ reaching out to 6,000 underprivileged Nigerians across six states.

Mr. Femi Adeniran, Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, made this known during a press conference held at the telecom company’s headquarters in Lagos.

At the heart of this initiative lies a commitment to foster community spirit and shared happiness.

The 5 Days of Love campaign is beyond an activity where we distribute meals. It is an avenue for us to celebrate the festive season with the people around us, in an electrifying atmosphere of fun, good entertainment, and love,” said Adeniran.

Airtel Nigeria’s Director of Distribution, Ifeoma Okafor-Obi, emphasized the company’s people-centric approach. “It is always our wish to extend 5 Days of Love to reach more Nigerians, hence our commitment to feed 6000 rather than the usual tradition of feeding 5000 underprivileged Nigerians,” said Okafor-Obi.

The initiative, now in its 9th edition, will span across Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Imo, Kwara, and Abuja.

Starting on the 13th of December in Lagos, this program aims to distribute packed meals to 1000 individuals per state, encompassing children, women, youth, and the elderly, offering a celebratory atmosphere befitting the season.

Airtel’s ‘5 Days of Love’ initiative, which initially commenced in 2015 across 10 orphanages, has expanded its outreach, collaborating with prominent fast-food vendors to provide nourishment to members of the public in towns and cities across Nigeria.

The telecom giant remains committed to its tradition of giving back to the communities where it operates, ensuring that the vulnerable in society also partake in festive joy despite the ongoing challenges faced by families and organisations.

As the program unfolds, Airtel sets its sights on not just feeding mouths but fostering a sense of togetherness and celebration within communities, demonstrating their unwavering dedication as caring neighbors during this festive period.
