The team began their 2026 World Cup qualification on a shaky note after two draws against lightweights, Lesotho and Zimbabwe in November.

The World Cup qualifiers will resume in June 2024 but attention is on the African mundial between January 13 and February 11.

The Head of Communications of the Nigeria Football Federation Ademola Olajire made the disclosure when he spoke to the Guardian.

“The Super Eagles camping details are not out yet, but they will camp in the UAE,” Olajire stated even as many Nigerians had hoped that the Eagles will camp in Nigeria before flying to Abidjan for the Nations Cup.

It is unknown when the players might converge in the UAE for their Pre Afcon camping with some of the European leagues like the Premier League in England and La Liga in Spain playing few League games during the Christmas and New Year period.
