In its quest to meet customers’ demands at all times, the largest carrier in Sub-Saharan Africa, Air Peace, has announced plans to increase flight schedules within Nigeria as the Christmas season draws closer.
The Christmas season is a period loaded with activities, involving a lot of travel and sometimes available flights are not enough. However, “Air Peace is rolling out multiple flight frequencies and deploying more aircraft to address this scarcity,” said Stanley Olisa, the airline’s spokesperson in a statement released recently.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelMr Olisa disclosed that more flight schedules from December 15 will soon be released on the website for booking to facilitate movement for everyone planning to travel to routes like South-East and South-South regions of the country during the Yuletide.
According to the Air Peace spokesperson, “more aircraft are returning from maintenance checks abroad, which will also support in meeting the increased travel demand of the festive period.”
Declaring that the airline has finalized preparations to efficiently cover all of its routes during the Christmas season, Olisa said that more aircraft would be deployed to the locations that are currently underserved in order to fulfill the travel demand of the flying public.

Recently, Air Peace commenced scheduled flight operations from Lagos and Kano to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural flight carried out with one of Air Peace’s B777 aircraft, took off from Kano on October 31 with 231 passengers on board. Prior to that, the airline had in the past operated charter flights to Saudi Arabia for Muslims going for Hajj pilgrimage. However, this inaugural flight formally began Air Peace’s scheduled operations into the Middle East country.

Speaking at a brief event to mark the inaugural flight operations, Air Peace Chairman, Dr Allen Onyema, who noted that the Jeddah operations is the airline’s sixth international destination since inception, described it as another significant milestone recorded in the annals of Nigeria’s aviation history.
He stated that the airline’s mission is to connect the country to the world with world-class flight services and ease the air travel burden for Nigerians, adding “We are happy to be serving as a means of solidifying socio-economic ties between Nigeria and other countries of the world.”
The airline on 31 March, launched direct flight operations from Lagos to Mumbai Southwest of India, bringing respite to Nigerian and Indian travelers, who have had to travel long hours through connecting flights between the two countries. The airline also plans to begin flight operations to Delhi also in India, London, and other international and domestic routes.
