Supreme Court Fixes Thursday, October 26 For Ruling On Atiku, Obi’s Case Against Tinubu

The Supreme Court has scheduled to deliver on Thursday, 26 October 2023, judgment in the appeals filed by the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The Director of Information of the Supreme Court, Festus Akande, reportedly confirmed the information on Wednesday in Abuja.

The judgment will lay to rest all controversies that trailed the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

Atiku, Obi, and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) had filed separate appeals at the apex court following the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) which quashed their petitions and affirmed the declaration of Tinubu as winner of the election.

The apex court commenced the hearing of the appeals on Monday, 23 October.

Justice Inyang Okoro, who leads the seven-man panel of the Supreme Court hearing the appeals, had after counsels to parties adopted their briefs of argument and made final submissions, announced that the court had adjourned delivery of the judgment to a date to be communicated to the parties.
