The failure to participate at the World Cup came after the Nigerian Government through the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development ruled against it over issues bothering on welfare packages for the players.

In the draw, D’Tigress are paired in Group B of the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament, and will be playing their games in Belgium.

The matches will be played from February 8-11, 2024.
