2 Feared Dead Out Of 4 Occupants Of Ill-fated Helicopter

Emergency responders have rescued four persons from the helicopter which crashed in front of United Bank for Africa branch at Oba Akran Road, Ikeja on Tuesday.

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident to newsmen in Lagos.

Farinloye said that the occupants of the helicopter included two crew members and two white men.

It was gathered that the occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries and have been taken to hospital for proper medical care.

Commenting on the incident, Lagos State governor’s chief press secretary, Gboyega Akosile, in a Twitter post also confirmed that the injured occupants have been taken to hospital.

“All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to hospital for further care,” Akosile tweeted.

Meanwhile, the responders said they would provide further information on the incident.
