PBA ReporterApostle Suleman, the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, whose convoy was attacked in Auchi, has spoken out to assure his supporters that he is ‘alive’.
He described the attack as an ‘assassination attempt’ on his life and urged those wishing to take his life to have a rethink. The Apostle said , although he escaped with his wife and children, seven people who were in the convoy lost their lives.
”I just escaped an assassination attempt, where seven people were killed,” he said in a video he shared online few hours after the attack.

Apostle Suleman said the gunmen opened fire on his car. ” When they were spraying the bullet, my wife and my kids were there.”

What he has to say in the video:
”People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names so that they will come out and deny. I won’t do that. But the truth of the matter is this: You can’t kill me. My life is in the hand of God; I’m a man of God. And those who are among those attacking me, you are building on what you don’t understand. You may have joined into the fora because you want to chase clout, but you don’t know where the fight started from.
”There are things you don’t understand; you don’t have an idea of the beginning of what happened in 2017, the people who are behind it. You may come and you are doing your own thing but it’s beyond what you’re thinking.
”I’m alive, for those who have been calling. I’m well, family is fine. I feel bad for the lives that have been taken. We are mourning but Jesus is Lord. And for all those who they killed, may their souls rest in peace.
”For the young men who opened fire on people, wasting people, I won’t take your life but the seed you sow you will reap it.
”Many Nigerians don’t know that a coordinated lie swallows an uncoordinated truth. With time, the truth will come out.
The Omega Fire Ministries International, which Apostle Suleman oversees, has its headquarters in Auchi, Edo State.
Apostle Suleman’s convoy was attacked along the River Orle area of Warrake Road in Auchi, on Friday evening.
Prime Business Africa had reported that at least five were killed in the attack, including a relative. But Apostle Suleman in the latest video confirmed that the ‘young men’ whom opened fire on his convoy ‘wasted’ seven people in the attack.
Apostle Suleman is said to have escaped in his bullet-proof car with his wife and children.

PBA had also sighted a video apparently taken from the scene of the attack which showed at least five bodies lying in pool of blood.
Meanwhile, the Edo State government has urged the Federal Government to reconstruct the failed Benin-Auchi federal road to tackle insecurity.
Governor Godwin Obaseki made the call after a security meeting with heads of security agencies in Edo State at the Government House, Benin City on Friday.
Lamenting the deplorable condition of the roads, the governor noted, “Petroleum products can’t get to other parts of the country, particularly the North because of the bad condition of the road. Food stuffs are not able to get to their destination; even animals are dying on that road as the trucks carrying them remain on the roads for days.”
