Nigeria Football Federation Presidential candidates, delegates, sports journalists and other stakeholders have arrived Benin City, the Edo State capital ahead of Friday’s NFF election and the Annual General Assembly of the Federation following the Appeal Court order for the election to hold as scheduled.
The election had been threatened due to the court injunction secured by the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria to stop it fron holding for what they described as unfair representation of the player’s body.
However the Appeal Court gave the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF the green light to go ahead to conduct its elective congress on Friday (September 30).
The Secretary-general of the Association and former Nigerian goalkeeper Emmanuel Babayaro, the older brother of former Chelsea left back Celestine Babayaro however in an interview with Supersport Thursday night warned that even if the election went ahead, that is not the last of the matter.
