Ukraine-Russia Crisis: Nigerian Embassy In Hungary Receives Affected Nationals

The Nigerian embassy in Hungary has informed nationals resident in Ukraine who are affected by the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine of an opportunity to seek refuge in the country.

In a statement issued on Sunday February 27, 2022, titled “public Travel Advisory”, the embassy located in Budapest, capital of Hungary, said the country has enacted a law known as “Decree 56/2022 (24.11)” which permits third country nationals with valid Ukrainian resident permits to enter Hungary on a temporal basis without “Schengen Visa.”

The embassy said Nigerians living in Ukraine who are coming to the Hungary-Ukraine border can enter Hungary either on transit or for temporal stay pending when the crisis subsides.
