UEFA Announces 2022-2023 Champions League Fixtures Dates

 

The Union of European Football Association (UEFA) has released the fixtures date for the 2022-2023 season reports Prime Business Africa.

The Europe’s football ruling body usually begins the competition in the middle of September of every year but with the 2022 FIFA World Cup holding November 21 and December 18, the Champions League calendar has been altered.

Rather than the competition kicking off mid September it will begin a week earlier as disclosed by UEFA’s website.

Matchday 1 action will hold on September 6th and 7th 2022 while Matchday 2 will be played the following Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13th and 14th.

Matchday 3 and 4 will be played on 4th and 5th October as well as October 11th and 12th respectively.

Matchday 5 hostilities will be played on October 26th and 27th and the group stage will be concluded with Matchday 6 action on November 1st and 2nd, 2022.

The knockout stages will start on 14th February 2023 with matches in the round of 16 also played on February 15th, 21st and 22nd – as well as March 14th and 15th.

In the quarterfinals stage, football faithful will watch their teams on April 11th and 12th while the reverse legs will be played on the 18th and 19th of April 2023.

The two-legged semifinals will hold on May 9th and 10th and 16th and 17th and the final in Istanbul, Turkiye will be played on 10th June, 2023.

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
