Chelsea manager Graham Potter faced the media in his post match press conference where he spoke about his team’s 3-0 win over Italian champions AC Milan in their Group E meeting at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Potter told reporters that he is delighted with the performance and the attitude shown by the players in a “huge football match” and they now need to recover ahead of the league game against Wolves.
Asked about Reece James and the battle for an England place with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Potter says James is “fantastic” and is still developing as a player.
On Wesley Fofana’s injury: “We’re concerned and are hoping for the best. Fofana will have a scan tomorrow, Potter says about the young France international who scored the club’s first goal in the first half.
Asked if his style of play is more direct than Chelsea’s previous style, Potter says it’s about working hard and that the players have responded well.
Potter says he is looking forward to the “huge challenge” of facing Milan at the San Siro in the return game.
