The Permanent Secretary Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyinyolu has confirmed that two persons have been rescued alive, while two persons are still trapped in the rubble of a collapsed three-storey building in Mushin area of the state.
The incident which occurred on the morning of Friday, September 23, 2022, has thrown residence of the area into chaos.
Dr. Oke-Osanyinyolu who is present at the site, said efforts are being made to rescue those still trapped as rescue operations by the officers of LASEMA have been ongoing.
The LASEMA Permanent Secretary said the adjacent building has also shown signs of distress and will have to be pulled down immediately to avoid further causalities. He called on occupants of the building to hurriedly vacate the building as it portends danger, but some of them are bent on evacuating their properties. Some of them were seen making frantic efforts to evacuate some of their valuables.
