Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke has filed an action at the Federal High Court Abuja, in an attempt to recover her sized properties.

She prayed the Court to vacate an order granted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for final forfeiture of her seized assets.

The agency in a statement on Monday said that some commercial bank officials were aiding and abetting the act.

Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has urged voters in Osun State to sue the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for wasting their votes.

Falana made the comment while reacting to Last Friday’s judgement of the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal which held that the APC governorship candidate, Adegboyega Oyetola, won the July 16 election.

7. Nigerian Govt Backs US Visa Restriction On Politicians Undermining Democracy

The Nigerian government has hailed the decision of the United States to place visa restrictions on politicians undermining Nigeria’s democracy through election rigging, thuggery and violence.

The minister of Information and Communication, Lai Mohammed, described the decision as “right and justified.”

8. Fuel Scarcity: PENGASSAN Plans Clampdown On Marketers’ Hiking Price

As fuel scarcity continues to linger across the country, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has called on the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) to immediately mobilise all its staff in various locations across the country to monitor the distribution and strict compliance with the approved pump price of petrol and to revoke the licences of defaulting marketers to serve as a deterrent.
