Tinubu expressed appreciation for the organisation’s endeavors in Burkina Faso and its successful cooperation with Niger. President Tinubu emphasized the importance of embracing freedom and constitutional order as critical aspects of sustainable development.

“You can call me at any time, and we will discuss the peace and stability of AU member states. We need stability and prosperity for the black race. This is our era. We must be peaceful to take maximum advantage of the developmental opportunities presented to Africa. Nigeria will collaborate with you.”

President Assoumani echoed President Tinubu’s sentiments, emphasizing that the AU seeks to complement Nigeria’s efforts rather than compete with them. He affirmed the AU’s commitment to addressing unconstitutional power grabs on the continent and called on countries like China and Russia to contribute to stability in countries affected by coups.

“As President of the Union of Comoros, we seek to learn from Nigeria’s experience in diversity management, electoral officiation, and economic growth. We want to turn our country into an emerging economy, and we need Nigeria’s cooperation to achieve this,” President Assoumani stated.

President Tinubu also discussed the role of the Islamic world in promoting peace and development in Africa with Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

He stressed the importance of respecting the will of Allah in leadership and expressed readiness to collaborate with the OIC in supporting agricultural growth and food security.

The OIC Secretary-General praised President Tinubu for his active efforts in bringing African states to a place of common understanding. He extended an invitation to President Tinubu to participate in the upcoming OIC Heads of State Summit.
