In the latest onslaught of bandits, two priests and two other persons living with them at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo, Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State, were on Tuesday night kidnapped.
The Clergy, Rev. Frs. Stephen Ojapa and Oliver Okpara were operating as parish priest and assistant respectively in the church which is under the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto headed by Rev. Matthew Hasan Kukah.
Director of Social Communications of the diocese, Fr. Chris Omotosho said there is no information yet on the whereabout of the priests and called for prayer for their safety and release from captivity.
