Saudi Govt Grants Ronaldo Permission To Live With Girlfriend

Al Nassr new signing, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been granted an unusual permission by the Saudi Arabian government to co-habit with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.

The laws in the Arab nation do not back such relationships (unmarried couples living together) but the superstar footballer who has signed a two-year deal with the club with a further five year contract as brand ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s 2030 World Cup bidding campaign will live with his partner with whom he has two children.

His six-year relationship with Georgina Rodriguez is the longest one he is known to have had, though he was seen going out with Russian model Irina Shayk on numerous occasions between 2010 and 2015.

But Rodriguez is the only one of his girlfriends he is known to have had children with.

In January 2022, a Netflix documentary called ‘I Am Georgina’ was released about the couple’s life.

In it, Ronaldo said he was convinced that he will marry Georgina Rodriguez and stated it could happen very soon.

He commented: “I always tell Georgina that when we get that click, like everything with our life and she knows what I’m talking about.

“It could be in a year, or it could be in six months or in a month. I’m 1000 per cent sure it will happen.”

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr from Manchester United after his contract with the club was terminated by mutual consent following an explosive interview the Portuguese star had in November with British presenter, Piers Morgan.

The 37-year-old heavily criticised the management of Man United saying there had been no improvement at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson left. He also lashed United coach Erik ten Hag, saying he had no respect for him.

Ronaldo was officially unveiled as an Al Nassr player on Tuesday after receiving a thrilling welcome upon arrival. His wages is £173 Million annually which makes him the best paid footballer on earth.

The five-time Ballon D’Or award winner said he chose to join the Saudi Arabian club because he wanted to help in developing the sport in the region and be a mentor to the younger generation in the country.

He also said he chose to join the Arabian club because he had “won everything” there is to win in Europe.

The deal signed with Al Nassr is a whooping £173m per year deal that has made Ronaldo the highest paid footballer in the world.

Al Nassr have won the Arabian league nine times.
