The nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month (POTM) award for January 2023 have been announced with Arsenal forward of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka leading the chase for the prize.

Solly March rose to the challenge of filling the vaccum left by Leandro Trossard who has left for Arsenal while youngster, Brennan Johnson has been in promising form for Nottingham Forest who will be without his Nigerian teammate, Taiwo Awoniyi for the foreseeable future due to injury.
