Big Brother Naija alumnus, Rico Swavey is dead. He was confirmed dead after being hospitalized following a car accident on Tuesday.
His fellow housemates and colleagues rallied to raise fund to help with his bills.
Tobi Bakre had tweeted “Please help save Rico. He had a really bad car accident. We have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while we pray for God’s miracle. (We) can’t do it alone…”

Alex Unusual alongside called for support for his bills and prayers to keep him alive.
Rico Swavey’s management announced on Wednesday that he had been put on life support at the hospital.
A video of the crashed car was posted following with prayers and support from his fans, via his Twitter handle.
The management said, “Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers.”
Unfortunately he passed away Thursday morning. We pray that his family and friends find fortitude and peace. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.
Both Alex and Tobi Bakare confirmed the death as they have taken to Twitter to express their loss. “This is not what we agreed Rico. Rest in peace, Alex tweeted.
Tobi shared a picture of himself with Rico, saying: “This is how I will remember you brother.”
