REVEALED: How Buhari Beat A Retreat From Kenya To Beef Up Security At APC Headquarters Before Leaving For London

Fresh facts have emerged on how President Muhammadu Buhari cut short his medical trip  to the United Kingdom just to ensure that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello effectively takes over the party Secretariat.

Authoritative sources within the Presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),  told Prime Business Africa that the president, who was billed to travel to London from Kenya had to beat a retreat on Friday back to Nigeria before finally leaving for London on Sunday.

President Buhari was said to have directed the Inspector General of Police to seal beef up security at the APC headquarters on Sunday preparatory  to the Monday takeover of power by Bello.

‘I can see some media reports saying that the APC headquarters have just been cordoned off by security operatives, The truth is that the police took over the place on Sunday, even before  the President left for London,” an impeccable source familiar with the entire events told Prime Business Africa early Monday evening.

He said the President was miffed  by the fact two documents  for zoning of national offices were presented to the public as having been signed by him with both having conflicting names as nominees.  ”The President was also alarmed at the fact that the actions of the Buni-led Caretaker Committee was further dividing the party, among other serious infractions not to be mentioned here yet,” the source said.
