IN compliance to the alleged sit-at-home order issued by the Indegeneous People Of Biafra(IPOB), all commercial activities in Imo were brought to a halt, as residents stay indoors during the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, to the state.
The IPOB leadership in a statement debunked issuing the order, stating that majority of Imo citizens and residents chose to sit at home on their own accord.
Reportedly, major roads and streets especially within the state capital were deserted and those who didn’t observe the sit-at-home order , were left stranded as commercial vehicles and drivers were unavailable for operations.
Meanwhile, Speaker of the state Assembly, Paul Emeziem has applauded Governor Hope Uzodinma for attracting the president to the state.
In his words, ” the visit has further justified that the governor truly means well for Imo people.”
He further urged Imolites our to support the governor, and all APC governments across the country.
