This Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji actually needs no introduction. If he is not on your screen as an actor, he is on your TV advertising for Airtel. (Airtel please, pay some fee in the PBA account for this mention, thanks).
Okay.
But Lateef is popular and most beloved actor working today. Do you agree? He has starred in a number of very successful movies including Ayinla, Breaded Life, Prophetess, Progressive Tailors Club, and more.
In December of 2021, Lateef tied the knot with his wife M.O. Bimpe.
In a recent interview, Lateef talks about marriage, domestic violence, divorce, and 5 things he and his wife do to safeguard their marriage.
Speaking about domestic violence in relationships, Lateef Adedimeji said:
Why would you beat up your fellow human in the first place, over what? Whatever it is, once you know you cannot control your anger, and it’s getting to you raising your hand, the best thing is to just walk away and come back when you are calmer. But if you feel the situation keeps getting uncontrollable, then both parties can go their separate ways. Marriage is not something to die for.
Here is what Lateef said.
What is important is that, there must be a clear understanding between the couples.
On divorce, Lateef also added:
“Whatever is becoming a threat to your life, if it’s your peace of mind or mental health, then there is no need to be together.”
Phew! Whatever happened to “for better, for worse” nuptial philosophy?
