The Nigeria Police Force, NPF on Monday arrested former Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari barely few hours after he was declared wanted.
Kyari was arrested after the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA linked him to a drugs cartel that operated in Ethiopia, Brazil and Nigeria.
The Nigeria Police Force consequently handed Kyari over to the Agency.
Spokesperson of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, had earlier spoken to the media with details of how Kyari got enmeshed in drug related offences amid his interrogation in the financial scam that involved Ramon Abbas better known as Hushpuppi.
The former Intelligence Response Team, IRT, boss reportedly benefitted from a heist carried out by Hushpuppi and his gang in Dubai.
Kyari was reverred in Nigeria for his crime bursting operations before the latest criminal activities that could ruin his career.
