Paul Pogba’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has broken silence over the suspension of the world cup-winning midfielder by Juventus after failing a doping test.
The test was conducted on the former Manchester United midfielder on August 20th after a Serie-A match the club played against Udinese, in which Pogba did not play.

Following the incident, the National Anti-Doping Tribunal on Monday, issued a precautionary suspension order on Pogba. This was confirmed in a statement from Juventus which said: “Juventus Football Club announces that today, 11 September 2023, the footballer Paul Labile Pogba received a precautionary suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal following the results of tests carried out on 20 August 2023. The club reserves the right to consider the next procedural steps.”
The 30-year-old player risks a ban of two to four years if found guilty. He is however required to provide a counter-analysis to the positive drug test.
Reacting to the precautionary ban Pimenta in a statement said Pogba had no intentions of breaking the rules. She stated: “We are awaiting the counter-analysis and we can’t have an opinion before the results. What is certain is that Paul Pogba never meant to break a rule.”
Pogba had hopes of playing for Juventus against Lazio this weekend before the unfortunate turnout of events.
