THE Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has distanced himself from activities by various groups insinuating that he has joined the 2023 presidential race.
According to Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo has not declared interest in presidential race.
“Prof. Osinbajo has not declared any interest whatsoever in the 2023 election. But he is rather focused on working in his capacity as Vice President in the current administration to address all the compelling issues in the country and concerns of Nigerians,” Akande said.
He appealed to the people involved in the malicious act of spreading rumours to desist from such publications.
He advised that such people should tackle challenges confronting the country, and resolve them for the benefit of the people and the enthronement of peace and prosperity.
