Osinbajo To Declare Africa 16th International Housing Show Open

Nigeria’s vice president, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo will officially declare open the 16th Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) that will witness about 34 speakers from around the world in Abuja.

This was disclosed in Abuja on Tuesday by Coordinator of the event, Barr. Festus Adebayo.

The event which is scheduled for July 25th to 28th 2022 will facilitate discussions on capital markets, climate change with stress on green housing, exhibitions, a proptech session, financing discussions, deal-room meetings etc.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, will serve as the principal host.

Barr. Adebayo revealed that speakers main focus will be on how the capital market can be accessed for affordable housing finance and delivery in the country.

No fewer than 34 international speakers from around the world, and over 15,000 participants from more than 15 countries are expected to attend the event.

Adebayo also revealed that over 350 exhibitors have registered for the event, with the hope for more registrations before the event.

The three-day event has attracted the sponsorship of top housing and construction companies including Dangote, Lafarge Africa Plc, Cosgrove, Brains and Hammers, and Stanbic IBTC.

Oscar Onyema, the Group Managing Director of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, alongside three other Chief Executive Officers will be facilitating a discussion session on the role of Capital Market in solving Nigeria’s housing problem.

They include, Bola Onadele, CEO–FMDQ Group Plc; Bolaji Balogun, CEO–Chapel Hill Denham;  and Adaze Uzor-kalu, Chief Executive Officer, Green Bridge Advisors.
