No Operational Lapses In Anti-terrorism Campaign, Army Chief Warns Soldiers

Nigerian Soldiers have been asked to be “thorough and cautious” in expunging operational lapses in the ongoing anti-banditry campaign.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt.General Faruk Yahaya advised the soldiers during an operational tour of the 31 Brigade’s areas of responsibility in Minna, Niger State.

While, addressing operational Commanders,the COAS, urged them to take appropriate tactical measures and bold steps to tackle the menace of banditry and kidnapping in their responsibility.

General Faruk called on Army Commanders to stop communicating their challenges to the Army hierarchy, noting that the Nigerian Army would continue to ensure availability of combat hardware and logistics to reposition and enhance their operations.

The COAS, disclosed that his tour was in continuation of ongoing evaluation and review of troop’s operations in the fight against terrorism, banditry and sundry crimes across the country.

He advised the soldiers to work in synergy with sister security agencies to effectively dismantle the network of banditry and kidnapping in their areas of operations.
