Nigeria To Know World Cup Playoff Foes In Africa During AFCON In January 2022

The draws for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs in Africa according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon in January 2022.

 

The announcement was made Friday evening in Cairo at the 13th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly.

 

Nigeria’s Super Eagles reached the playoffs stages in a group that contained Cape Verde, Liberia and Central Africa Republic.

 

However the draws wgj h earlier expected to hold on 18 December 2021 will be determined by the FIFA rankings for the continent in January 2022 with the top five sides getting seeded.

 

Currently Nigeria are ranked 5th in Africa and is temporarily regarded as one of the seeded teams, a situation which might change when the draws are made on 26th January.

Okosi is a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Association of Voiceover Artistes of Nigeria (AVOA), Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
