Super Eagles new head coach Jose Peseiro will earn Seventy Thousand dollars ($70, 000.00) as monthly salary for initial 12-month contract following the confirmation of his appointment on Sunday by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Peseiro who was recommended to the Nigeria Football Federation by AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho will pay his two incoming personal assistants from the salary which is about N29m.
The contract is expected to run for an initial one-year before a possible renewal probably after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next summer.
Peseiro, 62, is expected to watch 60 per cent of domestic league games in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) as he has been mandated to discover homegrown talents for the national team.
The NFF was also linked with high profile coaches like Ernesto Vervalde and Phillip Cocu.
