Malami, Masari, Fayemi, El-Rufai, Uzodinma, Abiodun, Sanwo-Olu, Umahi, Others Chair APC Convention Committees

The ruling all Progressives Congress (APC) has just announced more than 20  sub committees for its National Convention.

President of the Senate,  Speaker of the House of Representatives, Attorney General of the Federation and some sitting  governors, including  Nasir El-Rufai,  Sanwo-Olu, are all  chairmen of committees, Prime Business Africa reports.

new Caretaker Chairman of the party, Abubakar Sani Bello chairs the central Committee.

The Screening Sub Committee is chaired by  Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State, with former Speaker of House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole as Co-Chair; Screening Appeal Committee is headed by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State with Yakubu Dogara as Co-chair.

Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubabakar chairs the Election Committee, co-chaired by  Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State is the Chairman of  Appeal Committee, co-chaired by Hon. Usman Mohammed.

Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami heads the Legal Committee, co-chaired by Senator Victor Ndoma Egba.

For the Accommodation Committee, Muhammad Bello Matawalle  is chairman, co-chaired by Dame Pauline Tallen; while Simon Lalong of Plateau State is chairman of Venue/Decoration/Site Servicing. he will work with Muhammad Musa Bello as co-chair

Ebonyi State’s Dave Umahi heads the Transport and Logistics Committee, supported by former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel.

Abdullahi Sule heads Media Committee supported by Minister Lai Mohammed.

The Security Department is headed by Yahaya Adoza Bello of Kogi State supported by Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd).

Governor Nasir  El-Rufai of Kaduna State and Ovie Omo Agege  are to chair the Accreditation Committee which oversees documentation of all delegates.

Entertainment/Welfare Committee is put under the control of Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya together with Haj. Ramatu Aliyu Tijani.

Minister of Labour and Productivity, Senator Chris Ngige and Prof Isaac Adewole will chair the Medical Committee while Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and  Abubakar Atiku Bagudu will chair the Finance Committee.

Professor Ben Ayade of Cross River State and Prof. Adeolu Akande will be in charge of Digital Communication while Budget Committee will be managed by Kwara State’s AbdulRahman AndulRazaq and Haj. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed.

APC National Convention Sub Committees

Kano State’s Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Minister of Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio will oversee Protocol while Borno State’s Babagana Umara Zulum and Ekiti State Governor John Kayode Fayemi will chair the Pre-Convention Conferences.
