A novelty game organised by the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Sports Council in memory of late Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh who died on Sunday, 16 July 2022 in Warri, Delta State will hold on Wednesday 10th August 2022 reports Prime Business Africa.
Benue State-born Ameh grew up in the Ajegunle area of Lagos and had a younger sister who represented Nigeria playing for the Super Falcons, Jumai Ameh.
In a bid to celebrate the life of the 48- year-old thespian who incidentally lost her daughter in 2021 and consequently fell into depression, a novelty football match between Nollywood FC and Ajegunle Football Heroes will be played in August at the Nathaniel Idowu Football Pitch, Oregie.
Nollywood FC is made up of Nigerian actors, comedians and music Artistes.
Some of the ‘entertainers cum football players’ who will not be rolling tapes on the day or cracking hilarious jokes on the stage but rather put on their football jerseys include Ali Baba, Ayo Mayokun (AY), Chinedu Ikedieze, Charles Inojie, Famous Otamkpowah and Akpororo.
The Ajegunle Football Heroes to face their showbiz friends will include Ifeanyi Udeze, Jonathan Akpoborie, Peter Neketieh, Michael Orobosa and Fred Odita.
The host of the day will be Honourable Fatai Adekunle Ayoola – AJIF Local Gove rnment Area.
