Former Premier League champions Leicester City are likely to rebuff any transfer offers for defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in the January transfer window reports Prime Business Africa.
Ndidi has recovered from an injury setback that saw him miss a number of games for club and country.
However the player is back to fitness and featured in his club’s games before the World Cup break.
Ndidi’s clubmate Hamza Choudhury has however picked up a knee injury in the Foxes’ 0-0 draw in Sunday’s mid-season friendly against Championship side, Hull City.
That situation has made it nearly impossible for the club to lose arguably one of their top players, Ndidi, to any interested club in the midst of the 2022/2023 campaign.

Ndidi has been linked to clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Arsenal in the past and with clubs on the lookout for bargain deals in January, Ndidi could ne a target for some clubs.
However, Choudhury left Vicarage Road Sunday evening with his right knee in a brace albeit the extent of his injury is not yet known making it imperative for the 2015/2016 EPL champions to retain their best players in that position.
Watford boss Slaven Bilic on Sunday evening lamented the loss of the Leicester-owned player: “We were already very thin on the ground in midfield before the game, so to lose Hamza so early on was very frustrating.
“I don’t know the full extent of the injury yet, but it meant we had to move João further back as we don’t have any other midfielders we could have brought on.”
Ndidi has played 10 league games this season, with a total of 637 minutes of league action to boot.
