Ahead of the 2023 national population and housing census, the National Population Commission (NPC) saddled with the responsibility of managing the exercise has embarked on the recruitment of ad-hoc staff, who will play supporting roles during the exercise.
The Commission advertised various ad hoc staff positions for Nigerians to apply for which include Facilitators, Enumerator, Supervisor, Quality Assurance Assistants, Data Quality Managers, Monitoring & Evaluation Officers,
Interested and qualified applicants were directed to visit the National Population Commission recruitment portal https://2023censusadhocrecruitment.nationalpopulation.gov.ng/ to apply with the following requirements:
Valid National Identification Number (NIN)
Functional Gmail account
Functional telephone number
Functional / Operational Commercial Bank Account (NO Student / NYSC Account)
However, the recruitment portal which opened on 31st October 2022, has closed and successful applicants shortlisted.

The agency has started sending SMS and email invitations to successful applicants for its upcoming training programme. The messages contain the training venue for each applicant.
However, because of challenges with network and other factors, not all applicants received SMS and email invitation. The agency, therefore, directed those whose application status has been approved and who did not receive messages to visit their respective local government areas to confirm their names, venue, and class on the record provided.
The training was earlier scheduled for 11th to 17th April 2023 but has been shifted till further notice. Applicants are advised to be at alert for further communication on when the training the will finally take place.
