Lagos PDP Guber Candidate, Jandor Visits Woman Attacked In Polling Unit

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, aka Jandor, Sunday visited Mrs Bina Efidi, a female voter who was attacked and injured on her face at a polling unit in the Surulere area of the state during Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Some suspected political thugs loyal to one of the political parties reportedly stormed the polling unit and destroyed ballot boxes while voting was ongoing.

Some of the voters who tried to restrict them from carrying out their evil activities were attacked, including Efidi, who was injured on her face.

The victim, however, showed her resilience and quest for a new Nigeria when she later returned to the polling unit to cast her vote after receiving first aid treatment.

The PDP Governorship candidate, Jandor, shared pictures of his visit via his official Twitter handle on Sunday.

“The incidents of violence we saw across Lagos State yesterday have been one of the major reasons we seek and working assiduously towards having a breath of fresh air in Lagos and push for statewide reforms that will eradicate the criminal patronage system that uses our youth as weapons to advance the selfish causes of certain individuals.

“Months after we first raised alarm about election-related violence, Mrs Bina Jennifer Efidi became a victim of the ruling party’s wickedness.

“I visited her today to applaud her bravery and resilience to exercise her franchise to unseat the present wickedness called government,” he said.
