The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday, 8 January 2023, penned a heartfelt and romantic message to his wife and First Lady of the State, Dr, Ibijoke Sanwoolu on the occasion of her birthday.
The Governor’s wife turned 56 on Sunday and her dotting husband took to his official Instagram page to show his appreciation.

Governor Sanwoolu’s words: “Today I celebrate a jewel of inestimable value, my partner, prayer warrior, mother of my children and the First Lady of Lagos, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwoolu.
”Thank you for your strength, selflessness and sacrifice, as we paddle the waters of governance in the state.
”You have been gracious and understanding even in the face of challenges that come with the office. You have stood up and shown up for me, and I truly appreciate you.
“Thank you for holding forth on the home front, while juggling the role of the First Lady.

The Governor’s wife was born on January 8, 1967 to the family of Paulinus Olusegun Carrena of Popoaguda, Brazilian descendant area of Lagos Island.
She holds Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka.
The First Lady of Lagos also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management http://Diploma in Hospital and Health Management(PGDHM); Diploma in Anesthesia (DA); Masters of Public Health (MPH) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Governor Sanwoolu, born 25 June 1965, is contesting for a reelection as Governor of the state.
