Liverpool are unlikely to delve into the January transfer window despite the unavoidable absence of the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and possibly Joel Matip who is said to be considering making a return to international football due to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
In the summer, only RB Leizpig defender Ibrahima Konate was brought in to strengthen the first-team squad, the suggestion being that more players would potentially follow in 2022.
According to ESPN, that remains the case with Jurgen Klopp already contemplating which players could arrive at Anfield ahead of next season.
However, the report adds that the Merseyside giants have no intention of entering the market to find temporary replacements for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in January.
Despite the prospect of the pair being at the Africa Cup of Nations for a month, Klopp is prepared to show faith in his current options.
In terms of outgoings, defender Nat Phillips may be the only player who is allowed to move to a new club.
