Jim Iyke Bags Diaspora Igbo Chieftaincy Title In Ghana

Nollywood actor James Ikechukwu Asomugha best known as Jim Iyke has bagged a Chieftaincy title in Ghana Prime Business Africa reports.

The movie actor and director has done hordes of movies in Nigeria and other African countries including Ghana and Gabon where he spent some some of his growing up years.

The title of ‘Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo’ on Jim Iyke was conferred on him by the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi J. Ihenetu during the 10th Yam Festival of the reins of the Eze Ndigbo.

Ihenetu described Jim Iyke as a true son of the Igboland whose tremendous feats and contributions to the African entertainment industry have been deservedly ackxnowledged.

Jim Iyke, who clocks 46 year old on Sunday, September 25 (born in 1976) joined the legion of authors months after his blockbuster movie, Bad Comments’

The premiere of the movie was well attended by eminent Nigerians and received rave reviews according to his publicist, Cornell Udofia.

His authorial debut is titled Walking Through Walls. The book is the first volume in his new book series, “The Gift in the Odds”.

Jim Iyke’s net worth is reportedly $30 million as he earns a fortune from entertainment, endorsements, fashion and business.

Jim Iyke has acted in over 200 movies and series since he made his mark in the industry over two decades ago.

The actor who hails from Enugwu Agidi in Anambra State was said to have dated Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari before he married his now divorced wife Dana Kinduryte.

Izuchukwu Okosi

Izuchukwu Okosi is a Nigerian sports and entertainment journalist with two decades of experience in the media industry having begun his media journey in 2002 as an intern at Mundial Sports International (MSI) and Africa Independent Television (AIT), owners of Daar Communications Plc.
