Simon Ekpa
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has declared not less than 97 persons wanted for alleged involvement in violent crimes including terrorism and insurgency.
Among them is the factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa.
This was confirmed by a list of names and pictures published on Friday by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba.
The list contained names of terrorists from the North East (33 persons) and North West (43 persons) as well as insurgents in the South-East and North Central (21 persons).

The 21 Insurgents and violent criminals declared wanted in the southeast and North Central Area are Simon Ekpa; ThankGod; Gentle; Flavour; Mathew; David Ndubuisi; Amobi Chinonso Okafor aka Temple; Chika Edoziem; High Chief Williams Agbor; Egede; David Ezekwem Chidiebube; Zuma; Ebuka Nwaka; Chukwudi aka Dan Chuk; Friday Ojimka; and Obiemesi among others.
The criminals from the North East are Ali Ngule; Baba Data; Mallam Tahiru Baga; Ahmad; Baa Sadiq; Abdul Saad; Kaka Abi; Mohammad Khalifa; Umar Tella; Abu Mutahid; Mallam Mohammad; Uzaiya; Abu Zaida; Modu Sulum; and Sani Teacher.
The North Central had the highest number of 43 persons which include Boka; Dogo Gide; Malindi Yakubu; Halilu Sububu; Kachalla Rugga; Sani Gurgu; Alhaji Shingi; Ado Aliero; Bello Turji; Dan Bokkolo; Labi Yadi; Nagala; and Saidu Idris.
