Inter Milan Signs Remo Stars’ Prodigy, Akinsanmiro, On Deadline Day

Nigeria Premier Football League side, Remo Stars have confirmed the sale of midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro to Italian Serie A giants, Inter Milan.

The teenager who is an academy product of the club has signed a four-year deal with the former European champions according to the information released by the club.

Akinsanmiro was part of the team that helped Remo Stars gain promotion from the Nigeria National League to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in the 2020/2021 season.

The youngster was also featured in 2021/22 ‘Nigeria Professional Football League’ as the Nigerian Premier League was recently known as.

Most notably, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro featured for the academy team, Beyond Limits in The Creative Championship and Viareggio Cup World Football Tournament.

Remo Stars wished the talented player the best in his new lease on life with Inter Milan.

Inter Milan has previously signed up Nigerian players, the notable ones being the duo of Obafemi Martins, Joel Obi and Victor Obinna Nsofor.

In Cyprus, Apollo Football Club on Tuesday announced the signing of Nigerian defender, Godswill Ekpolo until the summer of May 2024 after he arrived from the Swedish side, IFK Norrkoping.

Ekpolo was an Academy graduate of Barcelona’s famed La Masia

In January 2022 he transferred to Norrkoping where he played in 28 matches.

The defender will dorn the number 2 jersey.

The financial details of the deals were not made available as at the time of this report.

Izuchukwu Okosi

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
