Institute of Information Management Africa Holds 32nd Annual Conference, Induction Ceremony (Photos)

The Institute of Information Management (IIM) Africa has held its 32nd Annual Conference and Induction Ceremony as new Fellows and members joined its fold.

The event tagged ‘Digital Transformation And Data Management: Associated Challenges, Risk And Solutions’ was held on Saturday, April 2, at the University of Lagos, Akoka, had a total of 39 inductees in attendance.

They include six Honorary Fellows; twelve Professional Fellows; four Senior Professional Members; six Professional Members; one Associate Member and one Information Management Academy Members, Nine Chief Data Officers(COD) Ambassadors and CCDOAP Professional Members.

Welcoming everyone to the event, Ambassador (Dr) Oyedokun Oyewole, the President and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Institute said that the vision of the IIM Africa is to be recognised and respected as the premier data and information management.

Oyewole also noted that he desired the institute drives the development of competent professionals for the ultimate recognition of data and information management as a professional field in various organisation.

Congratulating all the inductees, Oyewole said their induction as certified members of the institute has imposed on them the professional responsibility to exhibit a high sense of integrity and professionalism in their services.

He, however, urged the inductees to be abreast of trends and embrace high ethical and professional standards in their practice at all times.

Chigoze Mgbenwelu, one of the senior professional members, appreciated the chairman and president of the Institute for granting them the platform to showcase their professionalism and skills.

Mgbenwelu explained that data management is the duty of everybody and therefore urged every professional in various to be certified as data management members of the institute.
