The Grammys Award, one of the biggest nights in music, is set to take place this Monday, February 6, 2023 at 2 am. Music fans from around the world are gearing up to catch live performances from their favourite artistes.
This year, Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Tems and Tobe Nwigwe are set to make history as they are nominated for awards and are ready to take the stage.
Nigeria’s Burna Boy is nominated for Best Global Music Album for his latest album Love, Damini and Best Global Music Performance for his song ‘Last Last’.
Meanwhile, Tems, the Nigerian songstress, is nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her feature on Future’s ‘Wait For U’ and Album of the Year for her feature on Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’. Tobe Nwigwe, the Houston-based rapper, is also set to make a splash in the ‘Best New Artist’ category at the event.

This year’s edition of the award event will be hosted by Trevor Noah, the South African comedian and TV personality.
The award ceremony will be aired live on CBS, the American commercial broadcast television and radio network. Audiences can stream the event on Paramount Plus as well as Grammys’ website.
Performances will include Bad Bunny (the most nominated artist at the Latin Grammys in November), Lizzo and Harry Styles. Stars like Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, DJ Khaled, and Steve Lacy. Stevie Wonder will also perform with Smokey Robinson and Chris Stapleton.
