He said that the Yaba Bus Station is a very essential component of the Lagos transportation network as it is linked to the Yaba Train Station, thereby paving the way for pedestrian-friendly spaces, saving time on commute, and improving the lives of Lagos residents.

He also stated that the commissioning of the Yaba Flyover would ensure seamless travel from Jibowu to Ojuelegba, Tejuoso to Muritala Muhammed way, and beyond.

He promised to commission more of such projects including  Ikeja Along, Oyingbo, and Mushin flyovers.

During the event, the Governor issued a stern warning against any form of business transactions on the flyover bridge.

“These projects have been implemented at huge cost. We should not feel unconcerned when societal enemies are bent on destroying our commonwealth. I ask all road users to protect this bridge from vandals and other societal enemies,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

“Let me reiterate that this bridge is not a market place; the steps, ramps, and sidewalks are not for displaying wares. Our law enforcement agencies have been given strict instructions to ensure zero tolerance for any misuse of this facility.”
