Google launches the inaugural Google for Startups Accelerator program for women Founders in Africa. A three-month virtual accelerator program for high-potential Seed to Series A tech startups based in Africa.
The Google for Startups Accelerator (Women) founders program aims to support women-led tech startups up to the Series A stage by empowering them with the resources and opportunities they need to scale their startups and address problems unique to them. Google launches!
The program is an extension of the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program established in 2017, reflecting Google’s dedication to supporting startups and addressing the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Africa.
The program is grouped into Google for Startups Accelerator (Women) Founders and Google for Startups Accelerator (Africa) and is accepting applications from startups in Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
The Women Founders Class will run from March 2023 to May 2023 and include one boot camp per month, held in a hybrid style of online and in-person sessions. Women founders can apply up to Feb 20th.
