Google Celebrates Int’l Worker’s Day With Doodle

As the world commemorates the International Workers’ Day 2023, search engine giant, Google, has joined with its latest doodle which reflects various professions.

International Workers’ Day, also known as Labor Day in some countries, is done every 1st of May, to honour workers and celebrate dignity in labour.

It is also a day set aside to relfect on the status of workers across Professions in all parts of the world.

This global event originated in the late 19th century during the Industrial Revolution in the United States and was established by the labor movement, which fought for the regulation of American work schedules and other worker rights. The struggle termed Eight-hour Day movement, was a social movement to regulate the length of a working day, preventing excesses and abuses of working time.

The Google doodle is an illustration that features various professions, including a chef, a farmer, a firefighter, and a construction worker.
