Flying Eagles Faces CIV In WAFU U-20 Tournament’s Semifinals

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Côte d’Ivoire in the semi- finals of the 2022 U-20 WAFU Zone B tournament in Niger Republic on Tuesday evening reports Prime Business Africa.

The semi-final pairing was confirmed after the Flying Eagles were confirmed as Group B winners with four points from two games.

Nigeria defeated defending champions Ghana in their opening game before playing out a 2-2 draw with Burkina Faso on Wednesday.

Burkina Faso eliminated Ghana 2-1 in the final Group B game on Saturday evening to knock the Black Satellites out of the competition.

Meanwhile, the semi-finals fixture between Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire will go down on Tuesday, 17 May.

The other semi-final tie will see Benin Republic take on Burkina Faso.

The two finalists from the tournament will qualify for the 2023 U-20 Nations Cup in Egypt, which will run from 18 February to 12 March.

The top four teams from the U-20 AFCON in Egypt will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line. Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
