EPL: Awoniyi, Adarabioyo On Target For Nottingham Forest, Fulham

Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi and Tosin Adarabioyo scored for their respective clubs as two games were played Friday night as English Premier League fixtures return again following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last week Thursday.

There were five Nigerian players in those matches with the duo of Taiwo Awoniyi and Tosin Adarabioyo scoring for their respective teams.

Awoniyi headed his team ahead in the 11th minute but the first half ended that way without further action of note.

The second half began the way the first had ended but with 54 minutes on the clock, Adarabioyo connected with a headed effort.

Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reeds were on target for Fulham.

Lewis O’Brien scored what could be called a consolation for the Bees in the 77th minute.

Jacob Murphy was the scorer for Aston Villa in the 1-0 win against Southampton.

The duo of Joe Aribo and youngster Sam Edozie came off the bench to play thee roles in stifling Vila in midfield adm prevent conceding further goals.
