Chelsea’s new record signing, Enzo Fernandez on Wednesday evening arrived at the club’s training ground ahead of his unveiling following his £106.8m acquisition from Portuguese side, Benfica.
The British transfer record beat the previous £100m of Manchester City’s just before the deadline.
On Wednesday morning, the official Twitter handle of Chelsea confirmed the signing of Fernandez which could not be done immediately after the signing was finalized due to administrative obligations.
There had been a deal sheet submitted by both clubs to the FA after the medicals were concluded in the medical faculty of Benfica in Lisbon.
The Argentine World Cup winner, who will wear the No 5 shirt, was pictured on a private jet heading to London earlier this afternoon.
And later on Wednesday, the plane was seen landing at Farnborough Airport at around 3.30 pm.

An earlier picture of Fernandez travelling to England on a private jet was shared on social media by his agent Uriel Perez. who was seen sitting next to him.
Perez also included a picture of the Chelsea badge on the image.
Fernandez took to social media today to thank Benfica fans following his move.
He wrote: ”Much obliged Benfiquistas. We wanted to thank my family for all the love received in these 5 months, I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
”Where I enjoy every moment to the fullest and always give my best. Let the press not stain what we built together because it was something wonderful that I had never imagined.
